Bousman, known for directing films like Saw II-IV and Spiral, is teaming up with the city’s haunted house EXILED: Trail of Terror to create Exiled: Crooked Rose Woods.
This unique collaboration promises more than jump scares and spooky hallways. Bousman, a pioneer in immersive horror, plans to craft a living, breathing experience that will leave audiences emotionally shaken.
The director draws inspiration from his childhood Halloween adventures with his father in Kansas City’s West Bottoms. He craved a more profound, impactful fear than the traditional haunted house offered, and now he’s bringing that vision to life for his hometown.
Bousman’s experience with live-action horror through projects like The Tension Experience has garnered him a loyal following, including celebrities like Neil Patrick Harris. With this new venture, he aims to redefine horror entertainment once again.
Morgan Rooms, co-founder of IIIexperience and producer of Exiled 2024, echoes Bousman’s sentiment. Having witnessed the power of Bousman’s vision firsthand, Rooms promises that EXILED: Crooked Rose Woods will be a groundbreaking experience.
Adding another layer of intrigue, EXILED: Crooked Rose Woods will offer guests the opportunity to choose their own level of terror. Three different intensity options will cater to all bravery (or foolishness) levels.
