Well Go USA introduces viewers to a post-apocalyptic world in the trailer for the award-winning film Beyond the Wasteland (formerly titled M).
In a world ravaged by a deadly virus, two young boys go on a journey through a shattered world. Overtaken by the infected and the conflict-torn remnants of humanity, danger lurks around every corner. Together the boys must find a way to survive what’s been left behind.
Vardan Tozija directed the film, a co-production between North Macedonia, Croatia, Kosovo, and Greece. It stars Matej Sivakov (Marko), Sashko Kocev (Marko’s father), Aleksandar Nicovski (Miko). Kamka Tocinovski, Bojana Gregoric Vejzovic, and Verica Nedeska round out the cast.
Beyond the Wasteland, has received several film festival awards. That includes the coveted and rarely awarded Programmers’ Choice Award at the 26th Annual Dances With Films and a Special Mention/Balkan Competition.The film was also nominated for the Grand Prix at the Sofia International Film Festival.
Beyond the Wasteland, subtitled in English, comes to digital on November 5. It arrives on Blu-ray January 7, 2025.
