Catalina Sandino Moreno plays the role of Tabitha, a mother desperate to protect her children, in the hit MGM+ series “FROM.” She sat down with me to discuss motherhood and monsters in our interview before the season three finale.
The hit series explores the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter. The unwilling residents fight to maintain a sense of normalcy as they search for a way out. They must survive the creatures that come out when the sun goes down. There’s also the drama between residents and the threat of food running out.
Moreno’s Tabitha is kind and understanding even though she struggles with her failing marriage, her son’s death, and the nightmare-inducing town. In season three, we discover she has a mysterious connection to the city. She manages to be the only person to escape it. However, she quickly finds herself back again, thanks to an ambulance ride gone wrong.
Moreno stars alongside a large ensemble cast that also includes Harold Perrineau (Lost), Eion Bailey (Band of Brothers), and Hannah Cheramy (Van Helsing). Simon Webster (Strays), Ricky He (The Good Doctor), Chloe Van Landschoot (Charity, Skin), and Corteon Moore (Utopia Falls) co-star.
