Netflix is set to release The Sand Castle this January. This intense and captivating new film explores the complexities of family dynamics in the face of unexpected adversity.

From Emmy-nominated director Matty Brown (The Piano), the film is a family affair starring Nadine Labaki, Ziad Bakri, and their real-life children, Zain Al Rafeea and Riman Al Rafeea.

The Sand Castle follows Yasmine and Nabil, a couple stranded on an idyllic island with their two children. As their hopes for rescue dwindle, a dark secret threatens to tear their family apart. But are they truly alone? The trailer teases a mysterious force that seems to stalk the family.

Tensions rise as the days turn into weeks, and the idyllic island feels more like a prison. The film explores the depths of human resilience, exploring how fear and isolation can push even the strongest bonds to their breaking point.

Matty Brown, Yasmina Kharaja, and Hend Fakhroo co-wrote the script. Front Row Filmed Entertainment, Empire Entertainment, Houston King Productions, and Akward Productions produce the film that will stay with you long after the credits roll.

Witness a family pushed to the edge in The Sand Castle, premiering exclusively on Netflix on January 24, 2025. Are you looking for more chilling films and series on Netflix?
