Dinosaur fans have a lot to be excited about this year. Not only is Jurassic World: Rebirth coming soon, but another film featuring dinosaurs is also on its way, and the trailer looks fantastic; I’m talking about Primitive War.

Primitive War is based on Ethan Pettus’s hit comic, which debuted in 2017. The first novel followed in 2022. Luke Sparke wrote and directed the upcoming film adaptation.

The large ensemble cast includes Ryan Kwanten, Tricia Helfer, Jeremy Piven, Nick Wechsler, Carlos Sanson, Aaron Glanane, and more.

Set in 1968, at the height of the Vietnam War, an elite recon unit known as Vulture Squad is sent to an isolated jungle valley to uncover the fate of a missing Green Beret platoon. However, they soon discover they are not alone. Dinosaurs have been let loose in the jungles.

The first image from the film, shared by ComingSoon, has arrived and shows the movie’s stars, Tricia Helfer and “True Blood” actor Ryan Kwanten, hunkered down behind a car. Both have a tense expression on their faces and look like they’ve been through something terrifying.

Primitive War is set to open in theaters this summer, though the exact date has yet to be announced. But don’t worry. We’ll keep you posted.
