Award-winning publisher Wired Productions and Pollard Studio are building anticipation for the upcoming release of “KARMA: The Dark World.” Today, they have announced a final trilogy of trailers. These trailers will offer glimpses into the game’s haunting narrative, immersive world, and gameplay mechanics, culminating in the reveal of the official release date very soon.

Inspired by the visionary works of creators like David Lynch (“Twin Peaks”), Hideo Kojima (“Metal Gear Solid,”), and Christopher Nolan (“Inception”), “KARMA: The Dark World” aims to push the boundaries of immersive storytelling. Developed using Unreal Engine 5, the game received an ESRB Mature and PEGI 18 ratings.

Pollard Studio has openly expressed the profound influence David Lynch’s artistry has had on its development process. “We are deeply saddened by the passing of director David Lynch,” said Ke Yang, the studio’s Art Director. His art has had a profound influence on our game development, inspiring us to pay tribute to and learn from his work.”

Creative Director Yonghe Wang elaborated on the team’s connection to Lynch’s work: “In our studio’s movie nights, we often choose to watch his work. Our games have also been inspired by David Lynch’s creations. Compared to other directors’ styles, David Lynch’s work has always struck a chord. His films always feel sophisticated, carrying a unique, surreal quality.”

Wang continued, “The colors, the camera work, the character nuances; everything about his art feels intentional and profound. While we could never surpass a master like Lynch, we hope to learn from him—to understand how he created the Lynchian aesthetic and to adapt that sensibility into other forms of art. This is something we aspire to.”

“KARMA: The Dark World” is a first-person cinematic psychological horror game where players step into the shoes of Roam Agent Daniel McGovern, tasked with investigating the deepest secrets within the minds of his suspects. What begins as a routine case quickly unravels into a world of deceit and betrayal. McGovern is forced to question everything he believes, including his own identity.

Meticulously crafted in Unreal Engine 5, “KARMA: The Dark World” will soon be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox. Players can now wishlist the game on  SteamPlayStation, and Xbox. The first trailer in the trilogy is available now, offering a tantalizing preview of the immersive and unsettling experience that awaits. Watch for the remaining trailers and the official release date announcement.
