Scream star Skeet Ulrich stars alongside Mena Suvari (American Beauty) and Elizabeth Marvel (“House of Cards”) in the upcoming horror movie Devoted, written and directed by Richard J. Bosner.
Variety reports that the ensemble cast also includes Lin Shaye (Insidious), Alicia Sanz (“From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series”), and Nick Stahl (Sin City).
Devoted centers on a woman (Suvari) who takes custody of her estranged sister (Marvel), the sole survivor of a mass cult suicide. While initially overjoyed by their reunion, the woman’s happiness soon turns to dread as her sister’s influence transforms her and her husband’s (Ulrich) lives into a terrifying ordeal.
Bosner, known for producing films like Black Bear and The Manor, makes his feature directorial debut with Devoted. He previously directed a proof-of-concept short film of the same name, which premiered at the HollyShorts Film Festival last year.
“Devoted weaves my passion for classic horror and the occult into a suspenseful exploration of fear and the extraordinary lengths one will go to protect those they hold dear,” says Bosner. “This story was brought to life by an exceptional cast, whose talent and dedication add terrifying authenticity.”
