When you see a movie with a title like Invisible Raptor, you know immediately that it will be campy. With Invisible Raptor, that’s precisely what is delivered in the best possible way.

From director  Mike Hermosa (Dying to Sleep) comes the movie that sees a hyper-intelligent invisible raptor escape from a top-secret lab. It then begins to wreak bloody havoc on a nearby neighborhood. When the creature is revealed, a disgraced paleontologist, his love interest, and an unhinged amusement park security guard must band together to save the day and hunt down the beast before it’s too late.

This fun flick stars Mike Capes, David Shackelford, Catlin McHugh Stamos, Vanessa Chester (Jurassic Park: The Lost World), and Sean Astin (The Goonies, “Stranger Things”). The characters are interesting and likable. Cape’s character has lost his reputation after discovering a dinosaur’s fossilized butthole, only for his credit to be stolen. And then there’s Shackelford’s “Donny,” whose pathetic life is one long small dick joke. Yeap, this movie is about more than just invisible dinosaurs; it’s about redemption, buttholes, dicks, and huge piles of shit too.

The decision to make the bloodthirsty dino, who likes to hump giant chicken statues, invisible was a fantastic choice, adding to the mystery and saving on the budget. But don’t worry. There’s plenty of action and enough blood and gore to keep gorehounds hooked.

The movie takes advantage of low-brow humor and does so well. I admit I enjoyed this movie. I didn’t think I would, but I did. The movie didn’t hold anything back, and nothing is sacred.

If you have the sense of humor of a teenage boy or just love movies filled with cheesy action and jokes, Invisible Raptor is for you. It’s a fun flick that will keep you entertained. Watch it now on digital or get your copy on Blu-ray on February 4, 2025.
