The Lottery & Other Dark Tales features 20 of Jackson’s more unpleasant works like The Bus, Paranoia, and The Man in the Woods but features her most unsettling story from 1948, The Lottery. The book also features Illustrations by Angie Hoffmeister, bringing Jackson’s haunting visions to life, an exclusive introduction by Ruth Franklin, Jackson’s foremost biographer and winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award, a signed limitation label by both Franklin and Hoffmeister, making each copy a true collector’s piece, all in premium screen-printed and blocked cloth binding, silver gilded edges, and a clamshell box with a magnetic closure.
