Brittany O’Grady, known for her captivating performances in “The White Lotus” and It’s What’s Inside, stars in Temple Hill Entertainment’s highly anticipated horror film Monitor. Written and directed by Matt Black and Ryan Polly, filming starts March 10 in Barcelona and the Canary Islands.
The film’s premise revolves around a group of social media moderators who refuse to publish a horrifying video. Attacking them until it achieves its goal: breaking free from the screen’s confines.
Protagonist Pictures’ Chief Commercial Officer, George Hamilton, expressed his excitement about the project, stating, “We’re delighted to see cameras roll on this smart and twisted horror film that is sure to scare the hell out of cinemagoers worldwide. Temple Hill delivers once again with a wickedly clever film that offers a timely commentary of what we experience online.”
The Temple Hill team added, “We’re thrilled to be diving into production on Monitor. Matt and Ryan have crafted a story that is haunting and deeply relevant. With Brittany leading our cast, we’re confident that Monitor will be as gripping as it is terrifying.”
Temple Hill Entertainment is behind franchises like Smile and Smile 2 (both released by Paramount Pictures).
Cinematographer Philip Lozano (The Nun II) and production designer Núria Guardia (Bird Box: Barcelona) are joining the film’s crew. Guillermo de la Cal (The Orphanage) serves as editor.
