A mind-bending new trailer for Flying Lotus‘ sci-fi horror Ash has crash-landed, revealing a stunning, neon-lit descent into nightmarish landscapes.
The film centers on an amnesiac astronaut. She discovers her space station crew has been brutally murdered. Now, she and another astronaut are forced into an alliance for survival on the hostile exoplanet Ash, where they endure physical and psychological torment.
From RLJR Films and Shudder, Ash stars Aaron Paul (of Breaking Bad) and Eiza González (Baby Driver). It also stars Iko Uwais, Kate Elliott, Beulah Koale, and Flying Lotus.
The trailer hints at Lovecraftian horrors lurking on the barren planet, seemingly driving Riya’s crew to commit horrific acts. With Brion’s help, Riya must unravel the mystery behind the bloody slaughter.
Flying Lotus (Steven D. Bingley-Ellison) is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker, record producer, rapper, and DJ. His previous work includes the 2017 body horror Kuso and the “Ozzy’s Dungeon” segment in the 2022 Shudder Original V/H/S/99.
Ash is written by Jonni Remmler and produced by Nate Bolotin and Mathew Metcalf. Nick Spicer, Maxime Cottray, Aram Tertzakian, Maile Daughtery, Flying Lotus, Neill Blomkamp, Dave Brown, and Adam Riback serve as executive producers.
