Get ready to have your childhood memories thoroughly corrupted! Untouchables Entertainment has just dropped the first teaser trailer for The Dark Domain: Mickey-vs-Winnie, and it’s everything you’d expect from a public domain horror crossover – and then some.

This isn’t your average cartoon mashup. We’re talking about a full-blown horror showdown between twisted versions of Steamboat Willie’s Mickey Mouse and A.A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh. Yes, you read that right. This is the first-ever Public Domain crossover film, and it’s diving headfirst into the grotesque.

The teaser trailer gives us a glimpse of the horrifying birth of Dark Mickey and Dark Winnie. And it’s not for the faint of heart. What is more, it will launch “The Dark Domain” universe and introduce a whole host of terrifying new characters, including The Stitcher, Hellshadowers, and The Wickeds.

In Mickey-vs.-Winnie, Daniel Wilkinson stars as Dark Mickey, and Chris Boudreaux plays Dark Winnie, reimagined as bloodthirsty killing machines.

Glenn Douglas Packard, the Emmy-nominated choreographer turned filmmaker, is clearly excited to unleash his twisted vision.

“I love that we can take these iconic childhood characters from A.A. Milne’s original Winnie-the-Pooh (1926) and the 1928 Steamboat Willie version of Mickey and create a whole new wicked universe,” he says. “Our film is like the Upside Down World, with these public domain icons getting into a horror smackdown akin to Freddy vs. Jason.”

The film’s backstory is just as chilling. Two convicts vanished into Hell Forest a century ago, a place shrouded in dark legends and whispers of a malevolent curse. Their disappearance sparked tales of a sinister force lurking within the forest, feeding on those who dared to enter.

In the present day, a group of friends, each haunted by their unresolved traumas, travel back to their abandoned reform school, located deep within the forest. It’s a place where their innocence was lost. The walls echo with secrets and forgotten horrors. They’re being called back as if the forest demands that they confront their inner demons.

Those demons take shape in the form of Dark Mickey and Dark Winnie. These monstrous entities, born from the group’s deepest fears and regrets, embody their worst nightmares. Dark Mickey is a sinister manipulator, a force of chaos, while Dark Winnie is a feral predator, driven by destruction.

As they clash in a brutal showdown, the fight becomes more than just a physical battle. The group is forced to confront these nightmarish creatures and the darkness within themselves.

The film, shot by Andy Patch and featuring special effects makeup by Emmy winner Daniel Phillips, is finished with post-production and is set to premiere later this year. Get ready for a twisted fairytale that will redefine your childhood memories.
