John Carpenter, the absolute legend of film and music, is bringing his “HORRORMEISTER” show to New York this October. After the insane demand for his four Halloween-time shows in L.A., he’s decided to give us a one-night-only gig at the Knockdown Center, and trust me, you don’t want to miss this.

It is a rare chance to see Carpenter perform his music live for the first time in over six years! This isn’t just some casual gig, either. Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies will join him, and they’ll be diving deep into his extensive catalog, playing music from his 20 films and five albums. It will be a full-on musical journey through Carpenter’s incredible imagination.

“As soon as we announced my four-night L.A. residency, the response was incredible, and I wanted to offer my fans on the East Coast a chance to hear our music without having to fly across the country,” Carpenter said. “With a one-night show, we’ll get to really dig deep into our musical souls, which is something I can’t wait to share.”

This New York show, ahead of his L.A. Residency, is huge! It’s the first time Carpenter has performed live since 2018, so this is a special occasion. Tickets go on presale on Wednesday, March 12th, at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, and general admission tickets will be available the following day. Head to the official website to snag yours.

Now, let’s talk about the man himself. John Carpenter is a true icon. He’s a director, writer, producer, and composer who’s given us some of the most iconic films in history, starting with Halloween in 1978.

Carpenter has directed many influential films, including The Thing, The Fog, Christine, and In the Mouth of Madness. He’s also behind action-packed flicks like Assault on Precinct 13 and Escape from New York.

As a composer, he’s released three albums of non-soundtrack music called “Lost Themes” and two albums of his film music called “Anthology.”

Film, TV, and music are not the only legacy. He’s also the co-creator of Storm King Comics, a line of comic books and graphic novels.

This New York show is a must-see for any Carpenter fan. Get ready for a night of incredible music and a celebration of one of the greatest filmmakers of all time.
