Get ready for a seriously creepy time, folks! Hulu has unleashed Control Freak, a new horror flick that promises to crawl under your skin and stay there. A new clip just dropped, teasing a relentless itch and a descent into total madness.

A Fright-Filled Story

Control Freak throws us into a nightmare scenario: a motivational speaker is plagued by an unbearable itch on the back of her head. This seemingly minor annoyance of formication quickly spirals into a full-blown terror trip. She faces a parasitic demon straight out of her cultural heritage. However, this isn’t your average itch; it’s a gateway to something genuinely horrifying.

The Director

Shal Ngo directed and wrote Control Freak. He’s the mastermind behind The Park, The Box, and The Last Fisherman, so he knows how to deliver the chills. Ngo’s connection to this story runs deep. He first explored the concept in 2021 with the short film Control, which he created for the second season of Hulu’s “Bite-Size Halloween.” Now, he’s expanding that vision into a full-length feature.

A Talented Cast and Crew

Kelly Marie Tran takes the lead in this chilling film. You might recognize her from Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. She’s bringing her A-game to this role. Miles Robbins plays Robbie, Valerie’s on-screen husband. Toan Le and Kieu Chinh round out the supporting cast.

Control Freak is part of WorthenBrooks’s lineup of films for Hulu. They’ve also brought us Appendage, Mr. Crocket, and Carved. This partnership is delivering some seriously unique horror.

Control Freak promises to be more than just a jump-scare movie. It will delve into themes of cultural heritage, personal demons, and the creepy nature of parasitic entities. This movie is going to explore some deep and unsettling stuff.

Watch It Now

Mark your calendars! Control Freak is now available exclusively on Hulu. Prepare for a horror experience that will leave your skin crawling – and maybe hiding under the covers.
