Although only a teen, Peyton Jackson has already accumulated fifteen credits in movies and series. One of those is Blumhouse’s latest horror film, The Woman in the Yard. In the movie, he plays a young man struggling with grief. His family is thrown into turmoil as a supernatural threat stalks them.
Knowing the experiences of young actors is essential. They represent the future of the entertainment industry, so when I had the opportunity to talk with Jackson, I took it.
Odds are that you’ve seen Jackson in films like American Refugee, Nobody’s Fool, or Repect. He’s also had roles in series like “Young Dylan,” “The Resident,” or “The First Lady.”
In The Woman in the Yard, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, a mysterious woman cloaked entirely in black materializes on the front lawn of a family’s home. She offers a simple warning: “Today’s the day.” There is no explanation, no context, just a spectral figure and a bone-deep sense of dread.
