Abramorama has snagged the North American theatrical distribution rights for House of Abraham. This chilling horror-thriller boasts a stellar cast including Natasha Henstridge (Species), the iconic Lin Shaye (Insidious), and the compelling Lukas Hassel (“The Blacklist”). This film marks the feature directorial debut of the award-winning short filmmaker Lisa Belcher.
A Dark Story
House of Abraham plunges into the story of a woman desperately seeking an end to her suffering. Haunted by the traumatic childhood memory of discovering her mother’s body, Dee (Natasha Henstridge) journeys to the House of Abraham. Her goal? To find solace and end her pain. She encounters six other guests. Each is drawn to the place for the same purpose: to end their lives with the assistance of the enigmatic host, Abraham (Lukas Hassel).
Abraham assures everyone that their deaths will be clean, safe, and, most importantly, with a sense of misplaced compassion. When someone is ready to take their final step, they will ring the bell of death located outside, summoning the others to witness their end. As Abraham chillingly states, “Life is not for everyone.” However, he offers a seemingly comforting caveat, informing the guests that they are free to change their minds and leave the House if they should choose.
But the seemingly serene facade of the House of Abraham begins to crumble when Dee stumbles upon unsettling evidence. She discovers a fellow guest has mysteriously vanished, leaving all their belongings behind. This discovery sends a chilling realization down her spine: Abraham has lied. No one leaves the House alive.
Dee grapples with this horrifying truth. She finds herself in a desperate race to uncover the House’s secrets and escape before becoming the next victim. A final confrontation between Dee and Abraham ensues, leading to a shocking twist that no one could have possibly foreseen. In this deadly game of cat and mouse, the stakes are unequivocally life and death.
