Pack your bags for a vacation you might never return from! The official trailer has just dropped for the indie horror flick, Lake Abyss. And it’s hinting at a sinister getaway that will leave you checking under your dock.

The premise is simple: a group of college friends take a break from their studies with a trip to an idyllic lake. Little do they know, this isn’t your average lakeside retreat. The body of water harbors a dark secret. Their relaxing vacation turns into a terrifying fight for survival against a malevolent force lurking beneath the surface.

Lake Abyss is from the mind of Aric Garcia, who takes on both writing and directing duties. Niko El Santo Zavero wears multiple hats as Executive Producer, Line Producer, Producer, and even the First Assistant Director.

Adding to the film’s horror pedigree are producers with experience in the genre. Jaclyn Ann Suri and Ike Suri, who served as executive producers and producers of films like Cabin Fever (the 2016 remake) and Exposed (starring Keanu Reeves), are on board.

The unfortunate college friends who stumble into this nightmare are brought to life by Bryant Smith, Carl Solomon, and Joe Barlam. While specific character details haven’t been revealed yet, you can bet they’ll face profound aquatic terror.

The trailer, while likely keeping the biggest scares under wraps, is expected to establish the initial carefree vibe of the vacation before slowly unveiling the sinister undercurrent of the lake. Lake Abyss taps into the primal fear of the unknown that lies beneath seemingly tranquil waters.
