One of my favorite horror comedies of all time is Eli Craig’s horror comedy Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, released in 2010. Offering a mix of horror and a whole lot of humor, it’s one of those rare movies that couldn’t be more perfect. So, of course, when I got the opportunity to interview Craig about his new movie, Clown in a Cornfield, I jumped at the chance.
Tucker and Dale vs Evil
First, let’s talk about Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. It follows two friends on vacation at their new mountain cabin, Tucker (Alan Tudyk) and Dale (Tyler Labine). When a group of preppy college kids mistake them for murderers, maheym follows. Whether you want to relive its dark humor or watch it for the first time, you can find it streaming on Fandango, Hoopla, and Prime Video.

Clown in a Cornfield
Craig’s new movie, Clown in the Cornfield, sees Quinn and her father seeking a fresh start. They have moved to the quiet and idyllic town of Kettle Springs. However, their hopes for a peaceful new life are quickly dashed. As tensions simmer and the locals find themselves at odds, Frendo, a terrifying clown, emerges from the town’s cornfields. This menacing character has a singular and bloody purpose: to cleanse Kettle Springs of its perceived burdens, one victim at a time.
The cast includes Katie Douglas (“Ginny & Georgia”), Carson MacCormac, and Aaron Abrams (“Hannibal”). They are joined by Will Sasso (The Three Stooges) and Kevin Durand (The Strain).

Clown in a Cornfield, a gory, good time, slashes its way into theaters on May 9. However, you can watch it early at drive-ins from Friday, May 2, to Saturday, May 3, or hunt it down when Frendo and the film hit the road for its US tour. Watch the interview with the oh so brilliant Eli Craig below. To stay up to date on the talented director’s projects, follow him on Instagram.
