The cast for the upcoming thriller Pendulum just got much more intriguing! Deadline reports that “Walking Dead” star Norman Reedus has joined the killer cast, which includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception) and Phoebe Dynevor (“Bridgerton”).

Brilliant filmmaker Darren Aronofsky, behind films like Black Swan, will serve as producer, making the film even more impressive.

Mark Heyman, who previously wrote the screenplays for several of Aronofsky’s films, is making his feature directorial debut with Pendulum. He also wrote the script.

Pendulum follows a young couple, Patrick (Gordon-Levitt) and Abigail (Dynevor). They hope to find healing after a traumatic event that has left deep scars on their lives and relationships at a retreat.

Patrick, a devoted husband, will go to any lengths to help his wife. However, his initial hope erodes as he increasingly distrusts the retreat’s leader. Meanwhile, Abigail is drawn to him. Paranoia soon begins to fester. The couple is forced to confront a terrifying question: Does the group genuinely offer a path to healing, or do they mask far more sinister and horrifying truths?

Norman Reedus will play the couple’s friend. He initially introduces Patrick and Abigail to this seemingly promising retreat. This new project comes hot on the heels of wrapping production on the third season of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.”

Aronofsky is producing Pendulum through his Protozoa Pictures banner. Jacob Jaffke produces for Motel Mojave and Dave Caplan (Longlegs, The Monkey) for C2.

We’ll keep you posted as more news comes to light. But with the talent attached to this film, you know it will be good.
