Horror fans, mark your calendars! After a successful run in theaters, the dark tale of Bitter Souls is heading to your living rooms next week.

Love and Vengeance

This ain’t your typical teenage drama, folks. Bitter Souls throws teen angst into a blender with death and a whole lotta supernatural vengeance. When high schooler Kendall Kane (Avaryana Rose) is brutally murdered, her boyfriend (Mike McKeever) is understandably not okay with it. He’s on a mission to find those responsible, and he’s not afraid to get a little… unconventional with his methods.

To bring Kendall back, Lucien enlists the help of Father O’Reilly (Karl Barbee) and a voodoo priestess named Mahlet (Destiny Brown). Their plan? To dive into the realm of black magic. But it’s not gonna be a walk in the park. They’ll have to go toe-to-toe to save Kendall with the seriously evil houngan, Immanuel ( Michael Hargrove of “Candyman” 2021).

Behind the Scenes

Behind this wild ride is a team of producers including McKeever, Oifer, McCallum, Sarullo, and Savakinus. It’s a Showtown American Pictures production, in association with Cannon Fire Productions and Babe Entertainment, all under the direction of Tom Ryan. Executive producers Tracy and Rob Adkirson are also on board, with Paul Hughbanks and Michael Joy co-producing. The twisted minds behind this story? Ed McKeever and Steve Gray.

Avaryana Rose (Broken and Spirit Springs) leads the charge as Kendall. Destiny Leilani Brown (Hell House Origins: The Carmichael Manor) brings the mystical vibes as Mahlet, and Michael McKeever (The Beast Comes at Midnight) is the determined Lucien. As mentioned, Michael Hargrove brings the villainous presence of Immanuel.

So, if you’re craving a horror flick that mixes teenage revenge with voodoo, black magic, and hell breaking loose, keep an eye out for Bitter Souls hitting Amazon Prime Video on May 15th, 2025.
