Alright, horror hounds, get your peepers ready because the first teaser for a seriously intriguing new flick has just dropped! This one’s called Tribe, and it’s got that cool screen life/found footage vibe that can be either super immersive or terrifying (sometimes both!).

The film is set to make its European Premiere at GRIMMFEST 2025 in Manchester, UK. So, our friends across the pond will get a taste of this spooky action first!

The story sounds pretty wild. We’re following a retired professor on a mission to track down a medieval church hidden away in the mountains on the west coast. But this isn’t just a leisurely historical quest. As he starts piecing together the messed-up past of an old buddy, things take a seriously dark turn. Our professor finds himself teetering on the brink of sanity as he uncovers that some ancient, seriously creepy creatures are still roaming those woods. Yeah, you know this isn’t end with tea and crumpets.

The man behind this potential nightmare fuel is Dan Asma, who wrote and directed Tribe. And get this – Asma isn’t exactly a newbie to the horror scene. He co-founded this theatrical marketing agency called Buddha Jones way back in ’05. Ever heard of it? Well, they’re the brains behind the marketing campaigns for many HUGE horror movies and franchises over the last few decades. We’re talking The Conjuring, IT, Paranormal Activity, the new Halloween movies, and the upcoming 28 Years Later! So, this guy knows how to get under our skin. He executive-produced Netflix’s seriously nail-biting FALL and produced Shudder’s found footage hit, Mind Body Spirit.

With that kind of horror pedigree, Tribe sounds like one to watch. A retired professor, creepy medieval churches, ancient monsters, and that found footage feel? Sign me up!
