A brand-new clip, titled “Alert,” has dropped to tide us over until next week. That’s when the full trailer is released for Jurassic World: Rebirth. Get ready, this new installment sounds like it’s taking the franchise in a thrilling direction!
The new clip reminds us to be “Alert” as it takes us into the waters surrounding the island. A mosasaur stalks a ship, and a T-Rex hunts where the water meets the land. However, they aren’t the scariest things lurking in the area. A mysterious creature is locked behind a door, but how long before it breaks free?
This flick promises a full-on action spectacle, with a powerhouse cast to back it up. Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and the two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali lead the charge. Talk about a dream team facing prehistoric nightmares!
A New Chapter
This chapter throws a team headfirst onto an island crawling with the most dangerous dinosaurs left over after years of chaos. It’s a high-stakes race against the clock to snag the DNA of absolutely colossal creatures – behemoths that rule the land, sea, and air. Their genetic code holds the key to a potentially miraculous drug that could save countless human lives. Talk about pressure!
A Ton of Talent
Gareth Edwards, the visionary director who brought us Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is steering this prehistoric ship, so you know the visuals will be epic. Adding to the pedigree is the screenplay by David Koepp, who penned the script for the original Jurassic Park.
The story picks up years after the earth-shattering events of Jurassic World: Dominion. Scarlett Johansson is stepping into the boots of Zora Bennett, a highly skilled covert operative leading a top-secret mission: extract that precious dino DNA. But, plans go sideways when she stumbles upon a family whose boat is brutally attacked by aquatic dinosaurs. Stranded in the middle of a terrifying island of dinosaur species, they uncover a sinister secret buried deep for decades.
The cast also includes Luna Blaise (“Manifest”), David Iacono (“The Summer I Turned Pretty”), and Audrina Miranda (“Lopez vs. Lopez”). All playing members of Reuben’s family. Philippa Velge (“Station Eleven”), Bechir Sylvain (“BMF”), and Ed Skrein (“Deadpool”) play Zora and Krebs’ respective teams.
Get ready, Jurassic World: Rebirth lands in theaters nationwide on July 2nd.
