We’re getting a Scream reunion in Blumhouse’s upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 movie! Yep, you heard that right. Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich are reportedly teaming up again.
A Leak
The news comes from a leaked listing for an upcoming book, “The Art and Making of Five Nights at Freddy’s 1 and 2” by Scott Cawthon, the mastermind behind the games. This book reportedly popped up early on Amazon’s Canadian site and will be released on August 1st, 2026.
The book’s overview description has the FNAF fandom buzzing because Ulrich’s name is highlighted explicitly alongside some essential cast members.
The book’s overview starts. “The hugely anticipated Five Nights at Freddy’s sequel from director Emma Tammi starring Matthew Lillard (Scream, Scooby-Doo), Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games series, The Disaster Artist), and Skeet Ulrich (Scream) premieres only in theaters on December 5th, 2025,” it adds.
While Ulrich’s exact role hasn’t been officially announced, there is speculation that the Scream icon might play Henry Emily, the co-founder of Fazbear Entertainment.
A Return to Freddy’s
The sequel will once again plunge viewers into the unsettling world of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. This seemingly innocent arcade and restaurant conceals a dark and deadly secret.
The original Five Nights at Freddy’s film was released in 2023. It was a resounding box-office success, raking in $297.2 million against a $20 million budget. Its simultaneous release in theaters and on the streaming service Peacock contributed to its widespread popularity.
We’ll have to wait for that official trailer to drop to get the full picture. However, a potential Scream reunion has got us hyped for more spooky animatronic action! Get ready for December 5th!
