The first trailer for Jurassic World: Rebirth has just dropped. And it looks like it’s taking the franchise in a thrilling, heart-pounding direction!
In the trailer, we see a massive mosasaur stalking a ship and a colossal T-Rex hunting where the water meets the land. But here’s the kicker: these aren’t even the scariest things lurking in the area. The trailer teases a mysterious, terrifying creature locked behind a formidable door, but how long until it breaks free?
This film promises a full-on action spectacle, and it has a powerhouse cast to back it up. Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali lead the charge. Talk about a dream team facing prehistoric nightmares!
The story picks up years after the earth-shattering events of Jurassic World: Dominion. Scarlett Johansson steps into the boots of Zora Bennett, a highly skilled covert operative leading the top-secret mission to extract the precious dino DNA. But, as often happens in Jurassic movies, plans go sideways when she stumbles upon a family whose boat is brutally attacked by aquatic dinosaurs. Stranded and terrified in the middle of a terrifying island now swarming with various dinosaur species, they uncover a sinister secret that’s been buried deep for decades.
Gareth Edwards, the visionary director who brought us the epic Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is steering this prehistoric ship. Hence, you know the visuals are going to be stunning. Adding to the pedigree is the screenplay by David Koepp, who famously penned the script for the original Jurassic Park. That’s a serious nod to the franchise’s roots!
The cast also includes Luna Blaise, David Iacono, and Audrina Miranda, who play members of Reuben’s family. Philippa Velge and Ed Skrein round out the cast.
