A seriously chilling Japanese horror flick is heading our way! From producer Takashi Shimizu, the brilliant mind behind The Grudge, comes Best Wishes to All. The film has already made waves by winning “Scariest Feature” at the prestigious Overlook Film Festival. Soon, it will slash its way onto Shudder.

This terrifying trip into Japanese nightmare fuel hails from writer-director Yûta Shimotsu. It sounds like it’ll deliver if you’re looking for something that will get under your skin.

What’s the Story?

The official synopsis for Best Wishes to All, starring Aine Hara, Kotone Furukawa, and Koya Matsuda, gives us just enough to be completely intrigued. “A young woman’s visit to her grandparents’ home leads to discovering what’s brought them happiness, a revelation that will lead her to question her choices, sanity, and reality. Even the tagline for this movie is enough to send a chill up your spine: “There is a limit to the amount of happiness on Earth.” Sounds like a lovely family reunion, right? Not so much! This hints at a slow-burn psychological horror that will mess with your head.

Coming to Shudder

When you watch this chilling film, be prepared for a creeping sense of dread, grotesque body horror, and physical and psychological scares.

So, if you’re a fan of unsettling psychological horror with a distinct Japanese flair, mark your calendars for June 13th. That’s when Best Wishes to All and on Shudder.
