The Cast
Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) stars alongside Lynn Lowry (Shivers, The Crazies), Sadie Katz (Wrong Turn 6, The Beast Inside), and Rachel Amanda Bryant (Craving). Kevin Caliber (Future Man), Ashley Undercuffler (Raving,16 Bits), and even the legendary Bai Ling (The Crow) round out the cast.
The Story
A Hard Place kicks off with a crew of desperate criminals on the run. They have found a safe place to hide. However, their escape spirals into a full-blown fight for survival as they stumble into a monster siege in a forest. And are soon faced with ancient terrors!
From director J. Horton, the mind behind Craving and Monsters in the Woods, A Hard Place promises a throwback thrill ride that perfectly blends grindhouse grit with ambitious modern indie filmmaking. With special effects by Robert Bravo, the film is filled with mayhem and a surprisingly sharp sense of humor.
Horton shared his excitement. “A Hard Place has been by far the most ambitious project I’ve ever made,” he said. “This movie would not exist if not for the talent, generosity, and just general good personalities of ALL of the cast and crew, as well as our cinema partners. In true Roger Corman style, we hit the road with A Hard Place, traveling with the film to theaters and drive-ins across the country. It’s been a complete joy to see the movie with multiple audiences, which is something a lot of independent movies don’t get the opportunity to do.”
