If you fall asleep, you die—that’s the basic premise of “The Edge of Sleep.” This gripping science-fiction horror series is often overlooked, but it shouldn’t be. It needs to be added to your “must-see” list right now.

This nail-biting show stars Mark “Markiplier” Fischbach, reprising his role from the hit audio drama, alongside Lio Tipton (Crazy Stupid Love), Eve Harlow (“Watson,” “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”), and Franz Drameh (“The Flash,” “Legends of Tomorrow”).

What’s It About?

The story kicks off with two night watchmen. The men make a horrifying discovery: everyone around them has mysteriously died in their sleep.

One of the night watchmen, Dave (Fischbach), must race to find his former lover, Katie (Tipton), before she succumbs to the strange, fatal affliction. As they desperately search for answers, they encounter a nurse in a hospital (Harlow), adding another layer to the chilling mystery that unfolds in this visually stunning series.

A Must See

Filmed primarily in Vancouver in 2021, the series expands upon the popular audio drama of the same name, which was adapted for a novel in 2023.

The Edge of Sleep” has an eerie vibe. It’s intense, emotional, and action-packed. So, be prepared to spend your time on the edge of your seat.

Despite initially having a short run on Amazon Prime and reaching the Top 10 list, it has now landed on Tubi. This means it is now free to watch.

The Story Continues

The original podcast makers, Q-Code, announced last year that a second Season 2 of “The Edge of Sleeppodcast will be released. While this could inspire a second season for the TV show, it hasn’t been confirmed. But we hope it is! The cliffhanger ending for season one has got us begging for more.
