Get ready to pray for your sins. A new film described as “wild,” “kinky,” and “brutal” is about to be unleashed! Garden of Eden is coming to Digital this June, via Gravitas Ventures, with Blu-ray and DVD releases to follow. Bloody Disgusting has the exclusive first look at the gory trailer.

What’s This Twisted Tale About?

The press release doesn’t pull any punches in describing this movie: “Think ‘American Horror Story ‘if it had a kinky and debaucherous fetish-filled three-way with Martyrs and Hostel in a church pew.” If that doesn’t pique your interest, what will?!

The film centers on the Eden family. They are devout Christians, seemingly dedicated to living by God’s word and setting a righteous example. However, they’re also incredibly successful in business, rich beyond their needs. To give back, the family throws elaborate garden parties. Each lucky guest who finds a key at the party is promised that their most desired dream will come true. But, as the synopsis darkly hints, “a dream for some can be a nightmare for others.” Get ready for some profound, twisted wish fulfillment.

The Creative Minds Behind the Mayhem

Marcel Walz (Blood Feast, Blind) directs this controversial piece from a script by his frequent collaborator Joe Knetter (Blind, Twilight of the Dead). They’re taking an artistic approach to “torture porn,” with special effects by the legendary Vincent J. Guastini (Dogma, Requiem for a Dream).

The cast bringing the Eden family and their unfortunate guests to life includes Robert Rusler (A Nightmare on Elm Street 2), Monique Parent (Cuck), Sarah French (Blind), and Sarah Polednak. They’re joined by Gigi Gustin (The Retaliators), Sarah Nicklin (Popeye The Slayer Man), Jazz Egger, Adam Bucci (Halt and Catch Fire), and Dazelle Yvette.

Director Marcel Walz shared his thoughts with Bloody Disgusting, saying, “My heart was full of joy after finishing Garden of Eden. This was a such wonderful experience for me, seeing this cast and crew putting so much love and beauty into a movie with so many disturbing and controversial scenes. We created something special. It’s truly an art film.”

Writer Joe Knetter added, “There were moments while filming where we questioned whether we were going too far. Especially when some of the crew were grossed out and feeling sick. But it isn’t exploitation. Everything serves the story. In the end, there’s beauty in the brutality. We want the audience to think about what they’ve seen and what it means. With that being said… it’s pretty fucked up and the gorehounds will eat it up.”

If you’re ready for a film that pushes boundaries, challenges perceptions, and delivers some serious gore, Garden of Eden sounds like it’s going to be an unforgettable experience. It arrives on Digital on June 20, 2025, via Gravitas Ventures, with the Blu-ray and DVD releases to follow.
