From Hemlock Circle Productions, in partnership with Quiver Distribution, the team behind The Re-Education of Molly Singer, presents their chilling new slasher, Marshmallow, serving up some summer camp terror.

An Impressive Cast

This marks the feature directorial debut for Daniel DelPurgatorio, and he has brought together a fantastic cast, including Giorgia Whigham (Ted), Alysia Reiner (Orange Is the New Black), Kai Cech (Dear Santa), and the legendary Corbin Bernsen (L.A. Law).

A Life or Death Fight at Summer Camp

Marshmallow plunges viewers straight into a life-or-death fight at a secluded summer camp. The movie centers on Morgan, a shy and introverted 12-year-old who is suddenly thrust into a nightmare. What was once dismissed as mere folklore—a legendary campfire tale—emerges to unleash a terrifying presence upon the camp. As a mysterious figure stalks the campers, Morgan and his newfound friends have to fight for their lives, forced to confront their deepest fears and question the very fabric of their reality.

Marshmallow promises to deliver a truly suspenseful and atmospheric horror experience. It aims to tap into that primal fear we all associate with campfire stories, where shadows and whispers can suddenly transform into tangible threats. The secluded summer camp setting is perfect for the unfolding terror, as it isolates the campers and amplifies their vulnerability.

Beyond the Scares

Marshmallow also explores themes of fear, friendship, and the blurring lines between reality and imagination. As the young protagonists face unimaginable horror, they must rely on their courage and resourcefulness to survive the nightmarish ordeal. The film’s blend of suspense, jump scares, and psychological horror is designed to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

High Praise

And if you need more convincing, this film is already racking up accolades! It debuted at Panic Fest, where it was awarded Best of Fest, with DelPurgatorio himself winning Best Director. Additionally, it currently boasts an impressive 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Get ready to scream! Marshmallow will be available on Video On Demand (VOD) starting June 6, 2025.
