Netflix’s gripping new character-driven six-episode mystery-thriller, “Untamed,” uncovers a brutal murder on the majestic grounds of Yosemite National Park.
“Untamed” was created and written by the father-daughter duo of Mark L. Smith (The Revenant, Twisters) and Elle Smith (The Marsh King’s Daughter). They will also serve as showrunners and executive producers.
Eric Bana’s on the Case
The series stars Eric Bana (Dirty John). He plays Kyle Turner, a special agent for the National Parks Service’s Investigative Services Branch. His job? Enforcing human law within nature’s vast, untamed wilderness. However, the investigation into a brutal death sends Turner on a collision course with dark secrets hidden not only within the park but also buried deep in his past.
A Stellar Cast
Bana is joined by an impressive ensemble cast, bringing rich characters to this intense mystery. Sam Neill (Jurassic Park) plays Paul Souter, the longtime chief park ranger in Yosemite and a trusted friend to Turner. Lily Santiago (“The Sinner”) is cast as Naya Vasquez, an ambitious former Los Angeles cop who has traded city streets for the challenging role of a Yosemite ranger. Rosemary DeWitt (La La Land, “Little Fires Everywhere”) plays Jill Bodwin, Turner’s ex-wife, who maintains a strong, complex bond with her former husband. Wilson Bethel (“Daredevil,” “All Rise”) stars as Shane Maguire, a retired Army Ranger turned Wildlife Management Officer at Yosemite.

Bana executive produces alongside John Wells and Erin Jontow via John Wells Productions. Todd Black and Tony Shaw executive produce for Escape Artists Entertainment. Steve Lee Jones, for Bee Holder Productions, also serves as executive producer, alongside Cliff Roberts for Syndicate Entertainment.
The directorial lineup is equally strong, with Thomas Bezucha (“Fargo,” “Let Him Go”), Neasa Hardiman (“Jessica Jones,” “Sea Fever”), and Nick Murphy (The Awakening, “Save Me”) among those at the helm, ensuring a visually stunning and suspenseful experience.
