The chilling psychological horror film Alam and the Wolf opens in theaters and arrives on digital today. Ahead of its release, I had the pleasure of not only interviewing the film’s director, Michael Patrick Jann (Drop Dead Gorgeous), but also talking with the film’s stars, Ethan Embry and Li Jun Li, about their roles and the film’s dark twists.
In the film, terror grips the town as widespread paranoia takes hold after a brutal animal attack. Unfortunately for Deputy Ren Accord (Ethan Embry), when he begins to get too close to the truth, his son mysteriously vanishes. Soon, his perception of reality begins to fracture. Prepare for a descent into madness in the film where the lines between what’s real and what isn’t blur.
Ethan Embry delivers a powerful performance in Alma and the Wolf; however, you may also recognize him from his numerous previous roles in films such as Vegas Vacation, Sweet Home Alabama, and Blindspotting. He also made appearances in series like”Creepshow,” “The Twilight Zone,” and “The Walking Dead.”
Li Jun Li recently starred in the mega hit, Sinners (out now on digital). She also appeared in “Evil” and had a recurring role on “Chicago P.D.” Needless to say, she is no stranger to emotionally challenging characters.
I highly recommend watching Alma and the Wolf and my interviews with both the director and the stars. This fresh film is a must-see. Watch it now in theaters or on digital.
