Trash’s Revenge

We’re thrilled to report that The Return of the Living Dead Universe: Trash’s Revenge has begun filming in Los Angeles, California! This new installment arrives just as the original 1985 cult classic celebrates its 40th Anniversary. Dragon Studios is bringing back many of the “ROTLD” originals for this exciting new movie.

This time, the action centers on a punk rocker who, after rising from the dead, is hungry for fame and flesh! She sets her sights on Hollywood, manipulating a filmmaker into documenting her gruesome “comeback.” As her notoriety and body count grow, a bloody showdown will decide her ultimate fate. Get ready for a wild ride that promises to capture the spirit of the original!

We’ve got a special first look at the production, featuring some of the cast bringing this undead tale to life: Gia Rose, Dave Knee, Clifton Taylor, and Juan Lords. Let’s not forget Linnea Quigley, who played the iconic character of Trash in Return of the Living Dead.

Get ready to party, because The Return of the Living Dead Universe: Trash’s Revenge is coming, and it sounds like it will be a brain-eating blast!

Return of the Living Dead (2025)

Return of the Living Dead (2025) is being brought to life by director Steve Wolsh (Muck), the CEO of Living Dead Media. And get this, it’s a Christmas movie which will bring back Tarman, the iconic zombie from the original film.

It is described as “both a reboot and a sequel.” It is set 18 months after the events at a Warehouse in Louisville, KY. A new Trioxin 2-4-5 leak puts a small Pennsylvania town on the brink of a zombie outbreak during Christmas 1985.

The Original

Released August 16, 1985, the film was written and directed by Dan O’Bannon, based on a story by John Russo, Russell Streiner, and Rudy Ricci. This punk horror comedy stars Clu Gulager, James Karen, Thom Mathews, and Don Calfa. The iconic movie sees a warehouse worker, accompanied by his two employees, a mortician friend, and a group of teenage punks, as they deal with the accidental release of a horde of brain-hungry zombies onto an unsuspecting town after opening a military barrel containing a zombie (Tarman).

If you wish to relive the hilarious horror once again, you can find Return of the Living Dead streaming on Prime Video, MGM+, and free on Tubi.
