Horror fans and Hawkins enthusiasts, brace yourselves! Netflix has just dropped the terrifying trailer for the highly anticipated fifth and final season of “Stranger Things.”
Created by the Duffer Brothers, “Stranger Things” picks up in the chilling aftermath of Vecna leaving Max in a coma and the Upside Down opening in Hawkins. And in an explosive reveal at the end of the trailer, Vecna arrives, ready to go to war against our beloved gang.
Hawkins Under Siege
The official synopsis for season 5 paints a grim picture: “Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and a single goal unites our heroes: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. The government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s Will’searance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve seen before. To end this nightmare, they will have to stand together, one last time.”
A Three-Part Season
Netflix revealed in May that this mega-hit show will be released in three thrilling parts:
Part 1: Debuts on November 26th
Part 2: Arrives on December 25th (Merry Christmas, indeed!)
Series Finale: Concludes on December 31st (ringing in the New Year with a bang!)
Each volume will release at 5 PM PT.
