Get ready for a blood-sucking love story with a comedic bite! CBS is behind “Eternally Yours,” a brand-new comedy from the minds behind the hit sitcom “Ghosts,” Joe Port and Joe Wiseman!

This sounds like a fantastic new addition to the network’s comedy lineup, blending supernatural elements with relatable family dynamics.

500 Years of Marriage, One Human Problem

Eternally Yours” centers on two vampires who have been happily (or perhaps just enduringly) married for a whopping 500 years! Talk about commitment. Their undying romance, however, faces a fresh and very modern challenge when their daughter begins dating a human. You can imagine the parental angst (and potential bloodlust) that’s going to cause!

In August 2024, CBS announced it was opening a development room for “Eternally Yours,” which has since wrapped up successfully. Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang are all on board as executive producers.

More Comedy from CBS

Fans will be thrilled to know “Ghosts” isn’t going anywhere soon; CBS gave it a two-season renewal back in February. For those unfamiliar with this series, it follows a young couple, Sam and Jay, who inherit a haunted mansion. First, unaware of their invisible housemates, they plan to turn it into a bed and breakfast. Their lives become much more complicated after a fall causes Sam to see the ghosts. Rose McIver stars as Sam and Utkarsh Ambudkar as Jay.

With “Eternally Yours” exploring the hilarious challenges of interspecies dating after half a millennium of marriage, it seems CBS is embracing quirky and supernatural comedy. We can’t wait to see this pilot come to life!
