Right at the tail end of the “Gen V” panel on Friday, “The Boys” decided it was their turn to shine, dropping the first teaser for its upcoming fifth and final season. And boy, was it a doozy! The crowd at the Sandiego Comic Con in Ballroom 20 got a quick, chaotic peek at what’s coming, packed with all the superhero violence and gore you’d expect from “The Boys.”

What Went Down in the Teaser

While things moved fast, a couple of moments stood out. Fans saw a new supe throwing up what looked like a bloody hairball onto someone else – yikes! And then there was this wild scene where someone exploded in a bathroom stall. Just another day in “The Boys” universe, right?

A Supernatural Reunion

Seth Rogen, an executive producer who’s popped up in a few cameos before, showed up in the teaser. But the real buzz was around Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins, who are joining the cast in unknown roles. They were in a super quick scene together, which is a massive deal for “Supernatural” fans. “The Boys” showrunner, Eric Kripke, also created the beloved CW series and has already brought over “Supernatural” alums Jensen Ackles (who plays Soldier Boy) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (as Joe Kessler). So, if you’ve been begging Kripke for more “Supernatural” reunions, your wish has officially been granted!

Homelander’s Reign Continues

The most unforgettable part of the teaser was a decisive moment from Antony Starr’s Homelander. He bellows to an unseen crowd that “this is a safer, more god-fearing nation.” If you recall, at the end of Season 4, Homelander essentially took over the White House and is now the true power behind the president. The country’s under martial law, and Homelander’s rounded up “The Boys” and any other supes who aren’t on board with his “make America super again” agenda.

Crossover Fun with “Gen V”

It looks like the “Gen V” and “The Boys” crossover fun is still going strong! In the teaser, we see London Thor as Godolkin University student Jordan Li. This makes sense, especially after “Gen V” stars Maddie Phillips and Asa Germann appeared in “The Boys” Season 4 finale as pro-Homelander enforcers. And get this: Erin Moriarty and Chace Crawford from “The Boys” will be showing up in “Gen V” Season 2, which drops this fall.

Who’s Back and Who’s New

Loads of your favorite “The Boys” cast members are returning for the final season, including Jack Quaid, Karl Urban, Jessie T. Usher, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Laz Alonso, and Nathan Mitchell. Colby Minifie, Cameron Crovetti, Susan Heyward, and Valorie Curry round out the cast. Plus, get ready to see some new faces like Daveed Diggs and Paul Reiser.

We’ll have to wait a bit longer for the final season, as “The Boys” Season 5 is expected to arrive sometime in 2026. Check out the trailer below.
