A dangerous parasitic fungus is unleashed in the new trailer for the upcoming sci-fi horror-comedy, Cold Storage. It stars Joe Keery (Stranger Things), Georgina Campbell (Barbarian), and Liam Neeson (The Naked Gun).
The film follows Teacake (Keery) and Naomi (Campbell). The two are employees at a self-storage facility that was built on an old U.S. military base. However, their night shift turns into a nightmare. A highly contagious and rapidly mutating fungus, sealed away decades ago by the government, escapes from the lowest sublevel. So, as the temperature rises, the fungus unleashes its brain-controlling, body-bursting terrors on everyone in the facility.
It’s up to Teacake, Naomi, and a grizzled retired bioterror operative (Neeson) to contain the menace and prevent a catastrophic extinction.
Jonny Campbell (“Westworld”) directs from the script written by David Koepp (Jurassic Park), who adapted it from his own 2019 novel. The cast also includes Sosie Bacon (Smile), Vanessa Redgrave (Mission: Impossible), and Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread).
The new trailer, which showcases some of the “violent content, gore, and language” that earned Cold Storage an “R” rating, promises an explosive blend of sci-fi and horror-comedy carnage.
