The Twisted Childhood Universe continues to expand with the next installment, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3. The announcement comes just a month after Bambi: The Reckoning opened in theaters.

But get this, horror filmmaker Richard Stanley, known for his work on Color Out of Space, has been tapped to write Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3.

Stanley expressed his excitement, stating he is “wildly excited” to join the creative team for the “mind-wrenching third installment.” He also teased that “The Hundred Acre Wood will never be the same again!”

In Stanley’s 2019 sci-fi film Color Out of Space, a meteorite lands in the front yard of a farm. Nathan (Nicolas Cage) and his family find themselves battling a mutant extraterrestrial organism as it infects their minds and bodies. In our interview with Stanley, he went into detail about the film’s story, stars, and more.

With a larger budget than the previous films, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 will introduce more familiar characters from the classic tales, including Rabbit, Heffalumps, and others.

The film is set to begin production in early 2026. This time around, Scott Chambers will take over as director from Rhys Frake-Waterfield, who will produce. In our interview earlier this year, we learned the two have a lot more planned for the universe, so Blood and Honey 3 is far from the end. In fact, Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble is slated to begin filming in March, which the filmmakers also detailed in our interview.

We’ll keep you posted.
