Get ready for some truly unsettling scares! Torchlight Studios and Odin’s Eye Entertainment are bringing their new horror-thriller, Noseeums, to London’s prestigious FrightFest for its World Premiere on Saturday, August 23, 2025!
The director and co-writer, Raven Carter, is a young, up-and-coming talent who grew up watching horror films with her family. For her, premiering Noseeums for an audience of passionate genre fans is a dream come true!
A Haunting New Take on Southern Horror
Noseeums promises to be a fresh and biting take on the horror genre, exploring the loss of Black land rights in the contemporary South. The story follows a college student named Ember, who goes on a weekend getaway with her friends. The place feels strangely familiar and unsettling, and things get seriously spooky when she finds an unkempt grave in the woods.
Soon, Ember is plagued by “noseeums,” vicious, nearly invisible black bugs, and starts having terrifying premonitions and chilling flashbacks. She discovers a shocking lore about the land as restless spirits seek retribution for past crimes. It’s a gripping story where Ember embarks on long-overdue vengeful acts, and it’s already drawing comparisons to modern classics like Get Out and Candyman.
