The new psychological thriller, Dirty Boy, is set to release in select theaters this September. It is already generating a lot of buzz after its multi-award-nominated run at the Raindance Film Festival, where it picked up four nominations, including Best UK Feature and Best Director for Doug Rao.
A Twisted Story
Dirty Boy marks the feature-length directorial debut of writer and producer Doug Rao. Critics are already loving it, with one calling it “hella fun in a twisted way.”
The film stars a fantastic cast, including Graham McTavish (The Witcher), Stan Steinbichler (Zero Chill), Susie Porter (Wentworth Prison), and Honor Gillies (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes).
The story centers on a reclusive man with schizophrenia who grew up in an oppressive cult. He discovers the cult leaders are framing him for a series of murders and must save their next victim to prove his innocence and take down the evil sect from the inside.
