If you’re like me, you’re a huge fan of Peacock’s series adaptation of “Twisted Metal.” The show has everything: action, blood and guts, drama, and a whole lot of twisted humor. While every character has their own charm, like John and Quiet’s drama, I will confess that my favorite deadly duo is Sweet Tooth and Stu. While Sweet Tooth is a straight-up maniac, Stu, played by Mike Mitchell, is a whole different story. He’s like a giant, mildly murdering teddy bear. So, when I had the chance to talk with Mitchell, I jumped all over it.
While Mitchell isn’t a killer, the similarities between him and his character were readily apparent during our conversation. Stu’s personality isn’t a far stretch. Mitchell comes across as kind, warm, and funny, much like Stu. He is also quick to brag about his co-stars, the writers, and the director, which reveals a great deal about him as a person. You should hear the conversation for yourself. You can find it below.
Don’t miss season two of “Twisted Metal,” now streaming on Peacock. Watch Stu and the other characters in action as chaos ensues and the race heats up.
Be sure to follow Mike Mitchell on Instagram to stay up to date on what he’s working on. I also highly recommend checking out his laugh-out-loud podcast, DoughBoys.
If you want to learn more about the series’ characters, you should check out our recent interview with Michael James Shaw, who plays Axel. Stay tuned for more!
