Fandango, the nation’s leading online movie ticketing service, announced today that The Conjuring: Last Rites, New Line Cinema’s highly anticipated conclusion to the Conjuring films, is Fandango’s best horror ticket pre-seller of 2025. It has surpassed other major releases, such as 28 Years Later, Sinners, and Weapons, at the same point in the sales cycle.

This film also holds the record for the best ticket pre-seller in the entire Conjuring Universe, outpacing both The Nun (2018) and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021) at the same point in the sales cycle.

A Fan-Favorite Finale

“The Conjuring Universe has been scaring audiences for over twelve years, and fans are clearly excited to watch the climactic finale,” said Jerramy Hainline, EVP of Fandango. “Horror films are the gift that keeps on giving this year, and we are so thrilled that fans are eager to experience them on the big screen.”

The film was named one of the top 10 most anticipated fall films in Fandango’s 2025 Fall and Horror Movies Survey, which polled more than 2,000 ticket-buyers. It was also ranked as the number one most anticipated horror movie that fans are excited to see in theaters.

The Warrens Face a New Nightmare

From returning director Michael Chaves and producer James Wan, this movie is already being called “the darkest thing we’ve ever seen in the series.”

In this new installment, paranormal investigators Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) take on a new case to help the Smurl family. The family has recently moved into a new home, only to be tormented by violent supernatural events and ghostly apparitions. It’s up to the Warrens to put a stop to the terrifying activity and save the family.

The cast features some fresh faces, including Mia Tomlinson as the now-grown Judy Warren, and Rebecca Calder and Elliot Cowan as the tormented Janet and Jack Smurl. Madison Lawlor and Orion Smith play the roles of young Lorraine and Ed. The film promises to be an intense and emotionally charged experience.

The Conjuring: Last Rites arrives in theaters on Friday, September 5th. Tickets are on sale now via Fandango!
