A young girl’s world is turned upside down in The Man in the White Van, a chilling thriller based on true events, now set for release on Blu-ray and DVD.
The film follows Annie Williams (Madison Wolfe). Her life becomes a living nightmare when a mysterious man in a white van starts stalking her. The ominous vehicle becomes a constant presence. Annie’s parents (Sean Astin from The Lord of the Rings and Ali Larter from Final Destination) dismiss her growing fears, leaving her feeling isolated and vulnerable. However, a terrifying Halloween encounter forces them to face a horrifying truth they can no longer ignore.
The film is an exploration of “terror, paranoia, and the fragility of security.” The film delves into the unsettling reality of a child facing a true monster. It draws inspiration from the horrifying crimes of serial killer Billy Mansfield Jr., who terrorized Florida from 1975 to 1980.
Director Warren Skeels aimed to handle the story with great respect for the victims, some of whom remain unidentified, during our interview. And he does.
The Man in the White Van is a haunting and suspenseful film that needs to be added to your watch list, especially if you are a fan of true crime and chilling films. It will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on September 29. You can pre-order your copy now.
