The wait is almost over! The highly anticipated horror film Shelby Oaks, the feature film debut of popular YouTube film critic Chris Stuckmann, is set to terrify audiences in theaters this fall.

Not long ago, Neon dropped a chilling new Red Band trailer, which you can watch below. The trailer opens with a man taking his own life, a mysterious tape clutched in his hand. That tape may finally shed light on the terrifying mystery of a woman’s missing sister.

The Story: A Desperate Search for the Truth

Shelby Oaks plunges into a chilling mystery surrounding missing paranormal investigators and the dark secrets they unearthed. The narrative follows Mia (Camille Sullivan) as she desperately searches for her sister, Riley (Sarah Durn), who vanished 12 years prior. As Mia uncovers unsettling clues, she begins to piece together evidence of a hidden, supernatural evil connected to their childhood.

An Impressive Cast and a Historic Start

The film boasts a strong cast, including Camille Sullivan, Brendan Sexton III, Michael Beach, Robin Bartlett, Keith David, and Derek Mears (known for his roles as Swamp Thing and Jason Voorhees).

Even before hitting theaters, Shelby Oaks made history as the highest-funded horror film in Kickstarter history, raising over $1.3 million. This impressive start led horror titan Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House) to sign on as an executive producer.

Combining supernatural horror with found footage elements, Shelby Oaks promises a deeply chilling and terrifying journey for audiences when it opens in theaters on October 24, 2025
