Get ready for an adventure into the heart of snake country! Sony Pictures just dropped the official logo and a glimpse at the highly anticipated Anaconda reboot, which stars Jack Black (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) and Paul Rudd (Ant-Man).
The reboot is being directed by Tom Gormican, who co-wrote the screenplay with Kevin Etten. The cast is stacked with talent, including Selton Mello, Thandiwe Newton, and Steve Zahn.
A First Look
The first look at the movie’s giant, scaly star was spotted on a Cinemark snacks stand, of all places! The key art gives fans a taste of the terrifying creature that will be hunting our heroes. Against a backdrop of jungle foliage, we see the massive head of a snake, mouth wide open and ready to strike.

A Mid-Life Crisis with a Side of Giant Snakes
The plot for the new film is a fun twist on the classic horror-adventure genre. It follows a group of friends as they cope with midlife crises. They set out to remake their favorite movie from their youth. However, as the friends head deep into the rainforest, they soon find themselves in a fight for their lives. They must struggle to survive natural disasters, giant snakes, and violent criminals.
This new installment is part of a long-standing horror franchise that started with the 1997 classic starring Jennifer Lopez and Ice Cube. It was a massive success. It went on to spawn three sequels and even a crossover with the Lake Placid franchise! Watch the original now on Prime Video or Netflix.
So, get ready for an action-packed creature feature! Anaconda is slated to slither into theaters on December 25, 2025.
