It’s the most wonderful time of the year for horror fans! AMC has just dropped the full schedule for this year’s AMC FearFest, a month-long celebration of all things spooky that kicks off on October 1. With more than 650 hours of iconic horror films, new series, and specials, you’ll have no shortage of scares to keep you busy all month long.

This year, the multi-talented Janelle Monáe returns as the official “HalloQueen” host. You’ll see her throughout the social media campaign, sharing her love for the genre and spotlighting her favorite thrillers. Monáe has even curated her own special collection, “FearFest Favorites by Janelle Monáe,” which you can stream on AMC+ all month long. Her hand-picked list includes classics like The Birds, Halloween (1978), and Psycho, as well as modern hits like Late Night with the Devil and Speak No Evil.

“Horror has always been a space to honor the classics… while championing bold new voices and reinventing the way stories are told,” Monáe said. “I’m thrilled to return as the HalloQueen… to share my favorite films, spotlight iconic franchises, and share this Halloween season with all my fellow horror enthusiasts!”

Franchises, Specials, and More

FearFest 2025 is packed with incredible programming, including fan-favorite franchises like A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Friday the 13th, and Final Destination. You can also look forward to marathons dedicated to the master of horror, Stephen King, featuring classics like The Shining (celebrating its 45th anniversary) and Misery (celebrating its 35th anniversary).

The month will also feature a double-feature screening of A Nightmare on Elm Street and Freddy vs. Jason with “The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs.” And for fans of AMC’s original programming, new episodes of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” will air, along with the debut of the all-new series “Talamasca: The Secret Order“, set in the Anne Rice Universe.
