Summer may be over, but the fun is just beginning at Fresno’s Island Water Park. Owner Bob Martin is converting the 6-acre attraction into Fresno Fright Nights, a massive haunted Halloween event set to terrify guests from October 3rd to November 1st.
Martin’s vision to use the park’s space beyond the summer months has come to life with the help of two major talents. Haunt legend Allen Hopps has developed a rich lore and backstory for the event’s four unique attractions, while independent filmmaker Michael S. Rodriguez is handling the direction.
“It’s about time we brought it to you,” Rodriguez says, referencing the desire to offer a top-tier haunt experience in the Central Valley without requiring a trip to the big cities.
The highlight of the event is undoubtedly the Blood River Bayou, a sinister transformation of the park’s lazy river. This 15-minute boat tour promises a chilling encounter with witches and ghouls. The scares don’t stop there. Guests can also brave Night Crawler’s Pizza, where the animatronics have gone haywire; stroll through the undead-filled Ghoul Town; or investigate a paranormal mystery as a citizen volunteer at a Chemical Research Facility.
With a bustling midway, live shows, and plenty of food and merchandise, Fresno Fright Nights promises a full evening of spooky entertainment for everyone. Tickets are on sale now!
