If you’re looking for a new horror film to add to your watchlist, I’ve got one for you. Solvent, a first-person horror film, is set to be released this October, and it sounds absolutely terrifying.

The movie centers on a group of experts, including an American expat, who are searching an old Austrian farmhouse for hidden Nazi documents. But their search for history uncovers something much more sinister. Deep within the house, they awaken an ancient, insatiable evil that’s set on devouring them and everything they care about.

Johannes Grenzfurthner directs the film, which he co-wrote with Ben Roberts. Grenzfurthner and his previous work, Masking Threshold, suggest that he’s not afraid to push the limits of the genre and explore the unconventional.

The cast of Solvent includes Jon Gries and Johannes Grenzfurthner himself. Aleksandra Cwen also stars alongside Roland Grtzer, Jasmin Hagendorfer, Ronald von den Sternen, Peter Plos, and Sky Elobar. Tom Gorai, Neal Jones, Annick Mahnert, and Bill Strauss executive produce.

Solvent arrives on VOD and Digital Platforms on October 10. This is one movie you don’t want to miss.
