Get ready for a moving film that explores the bonds of family, coping with trauma, and the demons we carry with us. Monsters Within, a genre-bending film that combines elements of drama, horror, and thriller, is set to arrive next month.

Written, directed, and produced by its star Devin Montgomery, the film follows Luke Wolf. Luke is a war veteran who returns to his hometown after years away to find his sister, who has Down Syndrome. As Luke tries to reconnect, he discovers that things are different—or maybe it’s just that he is. Having spent years avoiding his past, Luke is now forced to face the “monsters within.”

The film is dedicated to the late Samuel French. He stars in his final role and has already won several Best Supporting Actor awards for his performance. The movie also features an authentic portrayal of a sibling with special needs. Devin Montgomery’s real-life sister, Daniella Montgomery, plays the character of Elle, the heart and soul of the story. Both siblings were passionate about showcasing their bond as authentically as possible.

Monsters Within has been a success on the film festival circuit, winning multiple awards. You can catch it on digital platforms starting October 3. It will also premiere on Cineverse’s Screambox on November 7, making it a fitting watch for Veterans’ Day.
