Bone Lake will soon be here, and it turns every renter’s worst nightmare into a horror show! Bleecker Street and LD Entertainment just dropped a look at their twisted new horror flick, which is slicing its way into theaters soon.

The movie begins with a truly cringeworthy scenario: a double booking. Poor Sage (Maddie Hasson) and Diego (Marco Pigossi) think they’ve finally snagged a perfect, secluded lake house for a romantic trip for two. Too bad Will (Alex Roe) and Cin (Andra Nechita) also show up, making for charming, impromptu bunk-buddies. But this isn’t just an awkward comedy of errors; it quickly spirals into something much, much darker.

As the official logline promises, this “dream getaway spirals into a nightmarish maze of sex, lies, and manipulation,” eventually bringing terrifying secrets to light and triggering a “bloody battle for survival.” Seriously, what secrets are these couples hiding? Bone Lake is shaping up to be a deliciously dark and seductive thriller.

Director Mercedes Bryce Morgan teased the project’s fantastic duality, explaining that he was drawn to the way it blends genres. He said the film offers the “thrill and escapism” of a classic “popcorn movie” while also diving into a deeper story about modern relationships.

Essentially, you get to enjoy the “intoxicating pull of gratuitous sex and visceral violence” while also watching a tale anchored in “emotions, trust and genuine partnership.”

Rounding out the cast are Eliane Reis and Clayton Spencer, working from a script by Joshua Friedlander. Be sure to catch Bone Lake when it hits the big screen on October 3.
