Terror Films has secured worldwide distribution rights for the unsettling found footage horror film, The Night Devours, from writer and director Jason Hawkins. The acquisition marks a significant pickup for the distributor, promising a chilling and psychologically complex entry into the serial killer subgenre. To celebrate, a new clip has been released, teasing the horrors that await you.
The Night Devours offers a disturbing, first-person look into the mind of an aging serial killer. The narrative unfolds as the killer looks back on the life events that have culminated in his tragic existence.
The film stars director Jason Hawkins alongside Corinne La Fors, Jakai Hawkins, and Jason Reynolds.
Director Jason Hawkins explained that the film is not just a standard horror movie, but an immersive exploration of the darkest corners of human psychology:
“Nature vs. Nurture is one of the oldest debates in psychology, especially concerning violent criminals. Having grown up in extreme poverty, with a violent, alcoholic father, I saw firsthand how easy it was for people to slip through the cracks and be shaped by their environment. Our film explores these ideas through the lens of a man who knows what he is, but wonders what he might have been if things had been different. That’s the real tragedy of the story—he didn’t have to become a killer. We shot this film in a gritty, first-person style with the intent of submerging the audience in the realism of the events as they unfold. It’s an experience.”
Terror Films will launch The Night Devours across multiple platforms on November 7th, 2025. Genre fans can catch the film on various services, including Chilling, Scare Network TV, Kings of Horror, Watch Movies Now, Shocks & Docs, TFR’s official AVOD YouTube channel, and many more.
